Frequently Asked Questions:

Does your program sponsor visas?

We sponsor both J-1 and H1-B visas. Generally when you start as an intern, you will start with a J-1 and then you can convert to an H-1B for your second year.

Do you accept COMLEX scores instead of USMLE scores?

Partners HealthCare requires any intern starting within one of our hospitals to have completed both USMLE I and II.

Does your program require a minimum number of letters of recommendation?

We require three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from emergency medicine.

Does your program accept applications outside of ERAS?

No. In order to apply to our program, you need to submit your application through ERAS.

Is there a deadline for me to submit my application?

Our deadline is December 1.

Is there a minimum cutoff for GPA or USMLE scores?

Our program directors review every application and assess each applicant based on the whole application. We do not have a minimum cutoff for any one piece of the application.
